AI note taker for lectures, meetings and talks

Understand it while it’s still being said.

Audiken listens with you, in a lecture, a meeting or a talk. It writes the transcript, and when a question, an unfamiliar term or a number comes up, it explains it in seconds from your own files. Afterwards it turns what was said into clean notes, documents and study material.

Accounts are opening a few at a time. No card needed, and one email when yours is ready.

Useful during, afterwards, and weeks later

Most note takers start once the talking is over. Audiken starts when the speaker does.

While it’s being said

A live transcript, with short answers appearing beside it when a question is asked, a term is new or a date is mentioned. Each one says which file and page it came from.

When it’s over

The transcript is checked against your files, misheard names and terms are fixed, side chatter is removed, and the session is filed by date and topic with a short summary.

When you need it again

Ask across everything that was said and every file you added. Get the answer with its source, or a finished document: a summary, a follow-up, a study guide, a spreadsheet.

One tool, wherever you have to keep up

You make a space for each thing you follow: a course, a project, a client. Audiken works from the files you put in it and from what is said while it listens.

Everything it does, built from your own files

Add slides, readings, proposals, contracts or spreadsheets to a space. From then on, every answer, document and practice question comes from that material and from what was said.

Live answers while people talk

When someone puts a question to the room, Audiken answers it beside the transcript before the silence gets awkward. New terms, acronyms and formulas get a two-line explanation you can expand.

  • Answers come from your files, with the source named
  • Ask your own question, or press “Catch me up” if you drifted
  • One tap turns it off when it should not be helping

A transcript that knows your subject

Before recording, Audiken learns the names, acronyms and terms in your files so the speech recognition listens for them. After recording, it reviews the transcript against those files and fixes what the microphone got wrong.

  • Type your own notes straight into the transcript
  • Keeps recording through a dropped connection and catches up
  • The original is always kept beside the reviewed version

Ask anything, and get real documents back

Chat across your files and everything that was said. Answers name the file and page, or the session and the minute, so you can check them. Ask for a summary, a follow-up, a deck or a forecast and it builds the file.

  • Word, PowerPoint, Excel and PDF files, not only chat messages
  • Reads spreadsheets with their formulas
  • Works across one space or all of them at once

Flashcards that test you

One press builds decks from everything in a space. Each card shows the session or page it came from, and a review schedule brings it back just before you would forget it. Call them flashcards or cue cards; these ask why and how, not only what.

  • Spaced repetition with no setup
  • Ask for a deck on anything: “chapter 6 formulas”
  • Export to Anki whenever you like

Math, one step at a time

Type a problem or photograph it. Audiken solves it step by step with the formulas and notation from your own material, checks your working, and writes fresh practice problems with new numbers.

  • Numbers are recomputed by a real calculator, not guessed
  • Tells you the first line where your working went wrong
  • Formula sheet, grapher and a financial calculator included

Dates and deadlines, found for you

Audiken reads the files in a space and listens for dates said out loud, then keeps one list of everything due, with what each item involves and where that was said or written.

  • One list across all your spaces
  • Open any deadline for the full details
  • Export to your calendar

How it works

  1. Make a space and add your files

One for each course, project or client. PDFs, PowerPoint, Word, Excel and photos of notes all work.

  2. Press record

The transcript appears as it is said, and answers appear beside it. Type a note or mark a moment whenever you like.

  3. Use what was said

Ask the chat, get the summary or the follow-up, review flashcards, take a practice test. Everything comes from your own material.

Yours, private, and checkable

A tool that listens is only useful if you can trust what it says and what it does with your work.

It shows its sources

Answers name the file and the page or slide, or the session and the time. When something is general knowledge and not from your files, it says so.

Your work stays yours

Each account’s files and recordings are kept apart from everyone else’s. Download all of it as a zip file, or delete your account and everything in it, whenever you want.

Record with permission

Recordings include other people. Ask before you record: in a lecture, ask your instructor; in a meeting, tell everyone at the start.

Questions

What is Audiken?

Audiken is an AI note taker that helps while people are still talking. In a lecture, a meeting or a talk it transcribes what is said and explains questions, terms and numbers as they come up, using your own files. Afterwards it gives you a clean transcript and builds notes, documents, flashcards and practice tests from it.

Who is it for?

Anyone who has to follow something spoken and use it later. Students use it in lectures and to study. People at work use it in meetings, calls and client conversations. It works from whatever files you give it, so it is not tied to one subject or one job.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Audiken runs in your browser. You sign in, make a space, add your files and press record. Today it works best in Chrome or Edge on a laptop.

Is Audiken free?

The free plan includes 1 hour of recording a month and needs no card. Premium is US$20 a month for 8 hours of recording, a much larger AI allowance and our most capable AI. See pricing for the details.

Does a bot join my call or announce itself?

No. Audiken listens through your own laptop’s microphone, like a notes app that can hear. Nobody else can tell it is running, which is exactly why asking permission before you record is your responsibility.

What happens to my recordings and files?

They are kept in your own account, separate from everyone else’s. You can download everything as a zip file or delete your account and all of it at any time. The privacy policy says exactly which services handle your data and what each one keeps.

How is this different from a note-taking app or a chatbot?

A note taker gives you a summary after it is over. A chatbot has never heard the conversation or read your files. Audiken does both jobs from your own material: it helps while people are still talking, and everything it writes afterwards names the file, the page or the moment it came from.

When can I get in?

Audiken is opening to a few people at a time. Leave your email and you will get one message when your place is ready.
